While empowering women we need to make sure that our men are empowered too . Don’t they need to be self- dependent and self-reliant as well ?

Are we telling our boys to do housework and that it is okay to cry . Or we taunt them “ Are you a girl “ when they cry ?? . We need to have people talking about empowering women but we also , more importantly , need people to talk about other side i.e. how can we raise boys to be more sensitive and girls to be more powerful .
Why do kids always ask for food only from the mother . Isn’t father capable of giving food ? They don’t associate food or nurturing with father , which is quite sad . When it comes to money we all go to the father because we don’t and neither our culture associates women with money .
Once i went out with my cousin to buy him a chocolate . I handed him that . He said pink is for girls i want blue !!! It took me a couple of seconds to get around . I was like man !! we are fighting hard to get rid of these pinks and blues and these want to mint money by deepening the divide .
We need to stop teasing boys when they may play with dolls . Can we have all kinds of toys for all kids . Don’t say shopping is a girly thing . Even men need good clothes . Gadgets are for men ! Show your girl how cool they are .
Just as young girls are taught to ride bikes , drive cars , study and get jobs to be self dependent , boys , too , need to be taught household works . Who decided that boy can’t show emotions ? Why do we burden them with our orthodox expectations of not showing their vulnerability and crying when they are hurt ? Won’t it only help them be less violent and aggressive.
Let every individual , regardless of gender live the life they want . Don’t pressurise them into being something or even someone they aren’t . Life is precious and everyone has a right to live theirs the way they want to .
“It is time that we all see gender as a spectrum instead of two sets of opposing ideals.”
